Holiday Baking With T-fal
Last night I was busy doing some last-minute baking for my husband’s family Christmas get together tonight. I made a delicious Banana Fosters Cake and some easy Chocolate Chip Cookies to take and thought I’d share the recipes with you.
Baking is always easier when you have the perfect tools to use. I recently received several baking tools from T-fal that I used in making these two recipes.
For the Banana Fosters Cake I used the T-fal Ingenio Blade Spatula.
This flexible spatula is just what I needed. With its long handle I can reach to the bottom of the bowl and the large flexible head does a great job of cleaning off the sides of the bowl. It’s also perfect for folding mixtures. I love the bowl rest which keeps the spatula handy. It’s dishwasher safe and has a lifetime warranty.
I also used the T-fal Ingenio 12 Inch Whisk
No more scratched bowls and pans! This silicone wisk can withstand heat to 500 degrees. It’s safe on all surfaces and works great. Unlike regular wire whisks, the T-fal Ingenio Whisk features silicone coated wires to provide optimal aeration while also preventing scratching. It’s also dishwasher safe and has a lifetime warranty. On to the recipe.
Banana Fosters Sheet Cake
16.5 ounce box Yellow or Butter Golden Cake Mix + ingredients to make the cake (I add an extra egg, substitute melted butter for the oil, using twice the amount of butter and use an equal amount of milk instead of water.)
5 ripe bananas
3.4 ounce instant banana crème pudding mix
1 cup cold milk
8 ounce Cool Whip
1 package Biscoff cookies
16 ounces caramel sauce
Prepare cake mix from directions on box and above. Pour into a baking dish and bake according to directions on box. When done, remove from oven and poke holes into the cake, cover the cake with holes.
Pour 3/4’s of the caramel sauce over the cake making sure it goes down into the holes. Spread the sauce around evenly onto the top of the cake making sure it goes into the holes. Then let the cake cool completely.
After cooling top the cake the bananas sliced.
Place the cookies into a sandwich bag and crush them. Sprinkle half the cookie crumbs over the bananas.
Combine the instant pudding and milk in a bowl using a whisk until smooth and beginning to thicken, fold in Cool Whip just until blended. Pour pudding mix over cake and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the last half of the crushed cookies over the top, drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce over the cake. Refrigerate several hours or overnight before eating. Refrigerate any leftovers. Delicious!
Chocolate Chip Cookies (like my Mama made).
In this recipe I used the T-fal Ingenio Spoon Spatula.
The bowl rest really comes in handy with this spoon. It’s great for mixing ingredients and stirring hot foods. Can withstand heat up to 500 degrees. The spoon rest keeps it handy on the bowl or pan. Made from flexible silicone, it’s dishwasher safe and has a lifetime guarantee.
T-fal Comfort Ice Cream Trigger Scoop
It’s not just for ice cream! I used this handy tool to scoop my cookie dough and it worked perfectly. It has a smooth trigger action for easy release. The finger guard keeps hands clean and safe.
T-fal AirBake Large Cookie Sheet
The AirBake cookie sheets use unique Micro-Dome technology distributes pockets of air that provide even heating of the baking surface, meaning better browning, decreased bake times. I love the way my cookies came out perfect, evenly baked and with no sticking! Guaranteed not to rust and dishwasher safe.
T-fal Ingenio Flex Turner. Flexible Spatula
Strong with just the right flexibility. This spatula is perfect for baking. Slides easily under delicate food. Serve your baked treats with ease! Made of heat-resistant silicone it can withstand temps up to 500 degrees. It’s dishwasher safe and has a lifetime warranty. Now for the recipe.
