I was so happy to have the chance to review National Geographic Kids Books Holiday Gift Pack! I have reviewed for National Geographic Kids before and my grandchildren love their books. This gift pack includes five books that range from tickling their funny bone to strange and unusual facts, from baby animals to all you could ever want to know about dinosaurs. I plan to use them as Christmas gifts and the best part…you could win a set to give too!

Just Joking Jumbo
I am always happy to find good books that I can share with my grandchildren that encourages the art of story telling . There are TONS of jokes in this book and they all are very kid appropriate. There are funny photos on each page as well. This makes the book more fun for the young kids. Both kids and adults will find themselves laughing while reading this book. With a nice variety of jokes and facts, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book for the review. For ages 7-10. There are 288 fun-filled pages, the perfect gift for the joke loving kid in your life.
Weird But True! Christmas
A good book is always a great idea as a Christmas present for kids. This book is a little different from the run of the mill. With beautiful photos found on each page, it’s another perfect book for kids young and old. The book includes 300 festive facts about the holidays, I was surprised at how many fun facts I didn’t know. So much fun and educational at the same time. Perfect for ages 8-12. There are 208 pages full of the most random and fascinating facts about Christmas.
My two grandsons love dinosaurs. This book is educational, fun to read, easy to keep kids attention, and has pictures. All the facts, information and pictures contained in this book are very interesting and thought-provoking. I honestly learned plenty about dinosaurs from this book. There were so many facts I didn’t know about these prehistoric creatures. Such a big book packed with so many facts. I see this as a great bedtime story book for the little ones and a great reader for the older child. Perfect for ages 7-10. There are 296 pages of the most complete and comprehensive dinosaur reference. There are more than 600 dinosaurs featured in all.
Bet You Didn’t Know: Fascinating, Far-Out, Fun-tastic Facts
This is a great book for kids, wonderful and fun. As well as being very informative, and well written, this book contains beautiful pictures throughout. It’s arranged in different topic chapters with lots of information on every page. Perfect for ages 8-12. There are 192 pages of fascinating facts, silly stats, and catchy little knowledge nuggets in all kinds of cool categories. There is so much information told in such a simple and fun way. I actually really enjoyed this book. I learned a lot. I originally thought that the book would just be for kids. But adults can definitely learn a lot too.
Hey, Baby! A Collection of Pictures, Poems and Stories from Nature’s Nursery
What child doesn’t love animals? I know all my grandchildren do. I was really impressed with how many animals were included in this book. The photos are vivid and beautiful. Many of the photos show the entire body of the animal which I really like. The photos of real animals make it easy for kids to distinguish the different animals as they learn them. The book is colorful and wonderful for teaching animal recognition, eye hand coordination as you turn the pages and point to animals, and would be a perfect book to start teaching animal sounds.
All of these books are well made, have good quality paper and hard cover material. Very easy to navigate through with plenty of pictures for a more detailed and easy to understand experience. The books are very bright and colorful. They would make perfect gifts for any child.
