My family loves chicken so I was thrilled to be asked to review Keystone chicken from Keystone Meats. Keystone brand meats has been owned and operated by the same family for four generations. I found that impressive.
The chicken I received was fully cooked, all natural, 98% fat free with no water added, all of which is important to me. So I decided to make my Chicken Chili using the canned meat instead of boiling my own chicken and I must say, it turned out delicious and saved me so much time in preparing the meat. I always love shortcuts! The chicken tasted delicious just out of the can too. Yes, I had to try it that way.
I am sharing my Chicken Chili Recipe
This is a not too spicy chicken chili that my family loves.
1 14.5 oz can Keystone all natural chicken.
1 small can green chilies
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can black beans
32 oz Chicken broth
1/2 tsp Chili powder
2 cans Mexican corn
1/2 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Cumin
Mexican or cheddar cheese
Place chicken in a pot, rinse and drain beans and add to chicken. Add all other ingredients except optional garnish ingredients. Don’t drain the corn or the chilies.
Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for about an hour.
Serve with your choice of optional ingredients listed above. YUM
Keystone will be giving away to one of my lucky readers, TWO cans of their product. Your choice of beef or chicken. ARV $10.
